Mademoiselle

Mademoiselle et son Orchestre is a band with 6 members based in Beijing. They mostly play classical French songs and their original work. In the past few years, they attended performances in many French culture related activities in different cities of China. Their music inspiration is greatly influenced by jazz manouche. This kind of music was born in France in the 30s, which was created by Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. Based on the joyful music style, Mademoiselle et son Orchestre does re-interpretation of very classical pieces by Piaf, Brassens, Gainsbourg and other singers. Their original songs are quite humorous, bringing the audience into the wonderful surreal world of Mademoiselle.
