Wood Pushing Melon

Wood Pushing Melon was formed in May of 2000. The five members of the band are: Song Yuzhe the vocal, Zhang Fangze the guitarist, Chen Chuangyuan the bassist, Li Dan the drummer and Wang Peng the keyboarder. They attended the Midi Festival in May of 2001. In December, they performed at the first Shenzhen Rock Music Festival. In May of 2002, an alternative producer compilation album “Ma Music” was released, in which their music piece was included. On the 2nd, May of 2002, they performed at the Midi Festival again and received public praise. In the latter half of the year, the band broke up. In October of 2003, their songs were included by the accompanying CD of the magazine “Pocket Music”.  “Beijing Band 2001” also included their music, and the album was put on sale in America. After the dissolution, the vocal wandered in Tibet for a year and studied folk music there. In 2009, he started another band called “Da Wang Gang”.
