Fat Tree

Fat Tree is an unordinary band based in Beijing. Their music is mixed with grunge, Britpop, punk and electronic music elements. Their songs are made of Manic and strong fuzzy riff and twisted guitar solo, broken and self-mokery and sarcastic lyrics，crying baby’s mumble, hysterical roal, and catchy melodies. They use their own way to express sadness, anger, pain and joy. The band was set up in 2000. One year after that, they started to perform at Beijing’s underground bars. In December of 2001, they took part in the “YAMAHA Music Thunder”Rock Music Contest and won the second prize with their song called “evolution”. In 2002, “evolution” was published on “I love rock n roll”magazine. In May of 2004, they performed in a 7-day rock music show called “who’s singing in spring” at Beijing’s Haoyun Pub. In October, they attended performances at MIDI Festival, and became quite a hit back at the time. In the next year, they frequently performed in all kinds of shows, which made them an active band in Beijing.
